The Epping Twilight Markets originally commenced in September 2007 as a monthly market for the greater community. It is a “not for profit” venture with the purpose being to raise funds for some much needed resources for the school.
Additionally, parents wanted to create a memorable community event were everyone could get together. This market was formed by our Parents & Friends committee. This market ran until September 2010 when The Epping Market committee decided to only run during the spring and summer seasons every second Friday of the month.
With parent volunteers assisting in the success of the market in 2011 the decision was made to run a once a year Christmas market. This would ensure the continuation of previous parents efforts in establishing the original Epping Twilight Market and is the one fundraising event for our student resources at the school.
With support from our major sponsor Betty Ockerlander from McGrath Real Estate, the Epping Twilight Market is now an annual Christmas event held in November, with a minimum of 2,500 to 3,000 plus visitors on the night. It is filled with high quality foods and gifts and is a great social night to sit, have dinner under the stars and listen to local community talent.
